Photographing Aggies from all majors is the fun and exciting part of developing the shoot. Mauricio shoot came with a fun challenge. He wanted a sophisticated look highlighting his future. He was attending UT Southwestern for medical school. This challenge was fun and allowed me to embark on a more non-traditional look for an Aggie graduate.
After searching and pitching an idea, the idea being a bar scene, I fell in love with The George. If you have not heard about or even knew The George was, I recommend going. This place has a look that speaks “Refined Texas”. There are so many opportunities and looks for the shoot to develop. It was so easy, if you understand light control. The lighting is phenomenal for natural light but I always enjoy OCF for my look. The use of color gels and a key light was the lighting for the entire shoot. Very simple and elegant lighting to present this future doctor in a well developed light recipe.
